Guidance Notes For Laptop Battery

Before using the battery for the first time, please read this manual carefully. When opening the package, make sure that both the package and the battery are in good condition. Only use the battery type that is compatible with your laptop. Do not discard used batteries together with ordinary household waste. Instead, send them to the officially designated recycling points.

Installation:

Carefully insert the battery into the battery compartment of the laptop and make sure that the battery is locked in place. Ensure that the battery locking system is in the locked position. If necessary, read the operation instructions of the laptop. Do not use excessive force!

Using the Battery

The power level of a new battery is usually between 20% and 80%. It is recommended to charge it immediately. The battery can be charged within a temperature range of 5 to 35°C. The first charge requires at least 12 hours.
After that, it takes 2 to 4 hours to fully charge the battery.
To extend the battery life, we recommend fully discharging the battery before using it for the first 2 to 4 times, and then fully charging it.
To fully discharge the battery, unplug the power cord and use the battery to power the laptop until the laptop shuts down due to the battery running out. If you do not use the laptop and/or the battery, the battery will discharge on its own.
Under normal circumstances, the battery life is 500 to 800 charge cycles or 3 to 5 years. Lithium-ion batteries have a limited number of charge cycles.
The single-use time of a fully charged battery depends on the frequency of battery use and the applications used. The usage time depends on the battery capacity, the external devices and software used, the screen brightness, and the ambient temperature.
Temperature is also crucial for the "health" of the battery. Do not let the computer or the battery overheat, and store it in a cool place.
If you usually use the laptop only with the charger or do not use the laptop for a long time, you should remove the battery from the laptop to extend the battery life.
It is best to store the battery in a dry and cool place with a power level between 40% and 75%, and avoid direct sunlight. A battery that has been removed from the computer and fully charged should be recharged at most three months later.
Never leave the battery unused! Otherwise, the battery will lose voltage due to self-discharge, making the battery unusable or unable to be charged.

Extending the Battery Life

You can extend the battery life of your laptop and save power by reducing the screen brightness and using the power-saving function of the laptop. When using the laptop, close unnecessary programs and disconnect devices that are not in use. Maintain your laptop regularly (once a year). We recommend connecting to a power source when burning CD/DVD discs.

Battery Status

Please refer to the user manual of the laptop. Generally, your computer has the following indicator lights:

  • • The green light is flashing - The battery is being charged.
  • • The green light is on - The battery is fully charged.
  • • The red light is flashing - The battery level is low.
  • • The indicator light is off - The battery is completely drained.

Safety

  • Do not charge the laptop or keep it plugged in during thunderstorms.
  • Do not use incompatible devices to charge the battery.
  • Avoid dropping or shaking the battery. Avoid causing personal injury to the battery.
  • Do not attempt to open or repair the battery.
  • Avoid exposing the battery to liquids. Using a wet battery may cause electric shock or fire.
  • Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight or direct heat sources. Store the battery in an anti-static plastic bag outside the computer and in a cool and dry place.
  • Only use the battery for compatible laptop models.
  • Do not discard used batteries together with ordinary household waste. Instead, hand them over to the official collection points for recycling. Batteries may contain compounds that are harmful to the environment.

Warranty Period and Validity

  • • All batteries come with a 12-month warranty. The warranty period takes effect from the date specified in the accompanying documents of the goods.
  • • If a warranty is required, a defective battery will be replaced with a new equivalent battery. The replaceable battery remains the property of the warranty provider.
  • • The warranty is based on the original or a copy of the purchase document of the goods, which should indicate the transaction date, product name, and serial number or the product code marked on the device.
  • • It is the responsibility of the seller to determine whether the warranty is invalid, based on the warranty conditions.
  • • Unless otherwise agreed, the seller does not transport the warranted goods or pay for the postage.
  • • The battery is only covered by the warranty in case of manufacturer defects. The customer is responsible for notifying the seller of the defect as soon as possible.

The battery is not covered by the warranty in the following cases:

  • • Charging the battery with incorrect or incompatible devices.
  • • The battery has been shaken or dropped.
  • • The battery voltage is too high.
  • • The battery is short-circuited.
  • • Attempting to open the battery.
  • • Using the battery in a computer that has a malfunction or is incompatible with the battery.
  • • The battery has been physically damaged.

If you have a problem with the battery you are using, please notify the seller of the product defect by phone or email. Send the defective battery together with a copy of the purchase document and a detailed description of the problem to the seller. If the battery meets the warranty conditions, the seller will replace the defective battery cell or send a replacement product to the customer within 30 days from the date when the defective product is delivered to the seller. If the battery cannot be repaired or replaced, the seller will bear the cost of the battery and, in accordance with the agreement, the transportation cost.
